“We need to exhale all that negativity we have been storing up the past two days. All the negativity and the spite toward me, Matt, and all our players. Let’s just breathe that in….and let’s exhale it out!”
Aaron Rodgers
Live from Paris, France
Yes, Aaron Rodgers did show up on the Pat McAfee Show last night. This was despite the continuous critics claiming he won’t show if the Packers continue to lose. The back-to-back MVP sported a Milwaukee Bucks hoodie (yup, he’s an owner) and provided guidance and instruction to those worried Packers fans across the globe. During the weekly installment of “The Aaron Rodgers Book Club”, he introduced the book “Healing” by David Elliott. In this Aaron suggested we breathe in and exhale our feelings about the start of this season.
If this sounds a bit familiar, it is. Rodgers is pretty famous for his comments to change a season or two.
In 2014 the Packers started 1-2 and Aaron made the famous R-E-L-A-X to Packer Nation. We ended up winning 11 out of our last 13 games.
In 2016 the Packers started 4-6 and, again, Aaron stated “We can Run The Table.” This came true as the Packers won out to go 10-6 and won 8 straight in all to advance to the NFC championship game. Do you need a reminder of all the doubters that year – see the video below.
This may not be Aaron sending an official quote to all Packer hopefuls, at least not at this stage, but time will tell. One thing we can all agree on is we are heavy underdogs this weekend with nothing to lose. Hopefully, that transitions into our team playing loose, finding its identity, and scoring lots of points. Because points are what we will need vs the Bills!
Go Pack Go! See you Sunday or shall I say early morning Monday for the folks over here with a 1:20 AM Kickoff.
