It’s Afternoon Coffee Again on Monday Packers Halloween Hangover.
Paris Packers fans braved a 1:20 am Kickoff and a 10 point spread to watch the Pack drop a fourth in a row. Fireballs and Redbull (not in the same drink) were required just to maintain momentum through the first half. Still, Paris Packers fans stuck it out.
Of course, we chose to watch the game at the Bills bar. Yes, it’s disgusting that such a thing should even exist in Paris, but The Mazet is actually a pretty good bar and draws a fun crowd when the Bills flag isn’t flying. Thanks to the staff for cheering along to “Go Pack Go”!
We were not too optimistic for the result after London, Jets and Commanders. Nevertheless, a small amount of unjustified hope remained. Then we learned both Cobb AND Lazard were out. Then Watson went down. Again. The game plan did start with more balance and a lot of rushing.
Unfortunately, it was quickly abandoned when suddenly we were down 14-0. Everyone was annoyed at Stephan Diggs.
At this point on a slow moving Monday, some Packers fans have turned their remaining hope for a miracle at the trade deadline to provide Rodgers some new decent targets. Talk of OBJ has even resurfaced. It’s desperate times, folks.
Is it going to get better? We’ll keep watching anyway.
