“Can we cut him during the game? Is that even possible?”
Paris Packers fans wondered aloud after Watson dropped a TD and then another pass on the following play, ending the Packers’ drive. After all, it was Watson’s bobbled and dropped TD bomb against the Minny Vikes on the first pass of the season that set the tone for this crash-wreck of a year.
Man, were we eating those words later.
Paris Packers fans couldn’t bear another watching experience at the Moose or the Black Sheep or wherever. Too much bad ju-ju. We found refuge at “Le” Tennessee. American flag outside. All-French band playing a mix of folk-jazz-blues in the basement to an all-French crowd. Upstairs, bartenders Maria and Ian obliged us by turning on the sound for Packers v Cowgirls.
We have to admit, Paris Packers fans were losing hope (but not spirit) after the big let-down in London followed by losses to the Jets, Commentators, The Bills, and then horror-of-horrors, the Lions. It seemed like rock bottom. But when the start of the fourth quarter rolled around, we were looking at digging even further into the sub-basement of disgust.
THEN: Genius comeback! OT! Watson! Saxophone riffs percolated up from the cellar, punctuating redemption. Required celebratory drinks at the dive Scottish bar The Highlander

The Packers hangover was a bit sweeter this Monday. But can we watch the Thursday night game against the Titans at a bar called the Le Tennessee?
The Fans are waiting!
