Why Harry Styles Supports the Green Bay Packers: From Cheeseheads to Tattoos

“When I was about six years old, I fell off my bike and cut my knee… and I bled green and gold,” Harry Styles joked. Styles has been a Green Bay Packers fan since he started traveling to Los Angeles in the early 2010s. He became a fan after watching Packers games with a friend from Appleton, Wisconsin. From then on, he became a lifelong supporter.

Styles has shared different reasons for why he backs the NFL team. “They are the only NFL team owned by the fans,” he said. “I’m also a big fan of cheese, so yeah, the Packers were the team for me.”

Over the years, Styles has been pictured numerous times in Packers gear. He’s been spotted wearing beanies, sweatshirts, cheeseheads and even his own personalized Packers jersey. But his most notable Packers tribute isn’t clothing — it’s a Packers tattoo.

That’s right. Styles has a Green Bay Packers tattoo on his arm. He explained that the tattoo was the result of a bet. Before a Packers game, his friend told him that if the Packers won, he’d have to get a Packers tattoo. Styles, being the busy pop star that he is, only had time the day before the game to get it done — so he did. Unfortunately, the Packers lost that game, and Styles was left with a tattoo of the logo for life. Still, since the Packers are his favorite team, I don’t think he found it too unfortunate.

From wearing Packers gear to carrying the logo on his arm, Styles has proven time and time again that his love for Green Bay is the real deal. It’s safe to say Styles will be repping green and gold for life.
